COCHIN-BACKWATERS-KUMARAKOM-COCHIN(06 DAY 05 NIGHTS)
DAY
01 : Arrival at
Cochin airport. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the Houseboat
where you will spend the first two nights on your stay. On board you will
be served lunch before setting off on a scenic afternoon cruise along
the backwaters. In the evening a traditional Kerala feast will be served
on board; you can then retire to your cabin for a good night's rest.
DAY 02 : Relax on houseboat winds its way gently towards its destination. You can have the opportunity to view the day- to- day life of the villagers who live along the river banks or your hand at fishing.
DAY
03 : Morning breakfast on board and disembark
in Kumarakom
and will check in at the resort. You can unwind with a soothing massage
(optional) in the evening or enjoy on the fascinating cultural programmes.
Stay overnight at the Resort.
DAY
04 : Enjoy your day in Kumarakom, renowned for
its backwaters and bird
sanctuary. It is recommended
to walk through the sanctuary in the morning. If you visit during the
winter months, take the opportunity of viewing flocks of migratory birds
from Siberia, flying in to roost. Overnight in the resort.
DAY
05 : Morning breakfast at the Resort and transfer
to Cochin. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Kochi
visiting Mattanchery Dutch
Palace, St. Francis Church
(the oldest European church in India) and The
Chinese Fishing Nets- living
symbols of the centuries old Chinese influence along the coast. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
DAY
06 : Morning transfer to airport to catch flight
for onwards destination.
